about:

I am a self-taught artist, (with the exception of a Drawing & Life Drawing class that I took at a local community college).

I have always loved drawing and as a child of the 80's comic books were a staple of our youth.

As many others I had abandoned my creating art as my "real life" began to flood my life's  "time line" in the following 20 years.

I painted and drew sparingly upon my children's request or when other artists needed works to fill their shows; this maybe occurred on one or two occasions during this time frame.  I continued doodling, scribbling, and writing as an outlet to escape everyday's monotonous rhythm.

What changed everything was the 2012 exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art that I attended while visiting family in the area. This was the cause for the euphoric shift in my life that allowed for "love" to set in with art.

The works of art that continued to reverberate in my psyche were Gauguin's "Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going?, Georges Seurat's "A Sunday Afternoon...,Picasso's "La Demoiselle D'avignon", Henri Rousseau's "The Dream", and Mattise's "The Joy of Life".

Seeing the sheer size of the canvases, the color palettes used, the brush strokes and the ambiance that emanated throughout the room from the wall they were displayed on qualified as a life-changing event.

From that moment on I began drawing, writing, painting, reading, and collecting art books. A lot of the first works were god-awful and wretched. Most of the earlier works were painted over or destroyed in a violent fit of frustration. As the works that susequently followed began to mount up, the want and need to share them with others has mounted.

I started this site to share my artwork with other artists, collectors, fans, curators, Moe, Larry, Curly and Shemp.

I don't paint for status, attention, or notoriety. I achieve those things by being argumentative, mule headed, and as many others have directly accused me of being ....a "know-it-all"

Feel free to contact me with ideas, discussions, comments, hate mail, disdain, ridicule, compassion, Etc...Etc...Etc...

The art of creating something from nothing and providing the viewer with some long lasting, personal, emanating energy a the work continues to transform and evolve, with time,  is irreplaceable.

Feel free to share ideas for inspiraton, whether it be doodles, pictures, poems, colors, destinations, hiking trails, beautiful people, ugly people, restaurants, rest areas, quotes, ideas, or whatever.  Sharing, in fact, is caring.

I created this website to share/sell/display my artwork. But more importantly to connect with the artworld. Especially with global artists or enthusiasts that i cannot walk outside and meet. To discuss theories, life, inspiration, suggestions, ideas, recipes, Pokemon Cards, or virtual handshakes.

This website is not for just commerce or notoriety, but reaching and establishing a "ground level" art community. This is where the best ideas, daring styles, and historic changes take place. Depending on the traffic or interest, I may try to create a "Guest/Friends" Gallery that will allow people to display/sell their artwork.

Please leave a comment in the COMMENTS section. I've also attached some audio of old loops that I've conjured together. Enjoy & take care.

Denis Diderot

“No great artist ever sees things as they really are. If he did, he would cease to be an artist.”
